What chatBTB stores

Your browser remembers which report updates you have opened, so new progress can be highlighted. This stores only update numbers under your public username, not report text or sign-in credentials. Clearing this site’s browser data resets those read markers.

What chatBTB records about how you use it

The site's owner can read all of this, including your conversations, to run the site and to see how it is used.

Bug reports and feature requests you send, and the conversation if you choose to include it, are stored and read by the people who run the site.

What you post on the board, your comments and your picks there, are public: anyone can read them beside your username, signed in or not. Your votes are stored, and only their totals are shown. Deleting a post or comment erases its text from the database; backups keep it for up to 30 days more. A post that carries a pick cannot be deleted, and the pick stays on your public record.

Reports you make about a post or comment are stored with your username and read by the moderators. What moderators and admins do, such as removing a post or banning an account, is kept in a log that they can read.

Where your conversations go

To write a reply, your conversation is sent to a language model. The model runs on hardware owned by the site's owner; conversations are not sent to another company.

What is not done with your data

No data is sold, and none is shared for advertising.

Deleting

You can delete a conversation from its page. A deleted conversation is no longer shown and is removed from the database 30 days later. The activity record keeps the times of what you did in it, but not what was said. Encrypted backups of the database are kept for 30 days, so a removed conversation can remain in a backup for up to 30 days more.

Deleting a board post or comment removes its text from the database immediately. Its text can remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days after deletion. A post that carries a pick cannot be deleted; the pick remains on your public record.
